This was the first higher end reel I bought. I found it in a tackle shop in Colorado Springs while on vacation. I think I paid 170ish for it at the time. Still have it and it still works great. I think it was a custom reel lews made for a certain tackle website.

Great boat, great mods... I've got a 2004 PT 175... it had a 50 on it like yours. I upgraded to a 90hp jet, added beavertail float pods to help with the weight, a second battery and moved up to a Minn Kota 55 trolling motor. I can sneak into the slough's off the main rivers here in the PNW as that jet gets me across a lot of skinny water. Great Video.

When you can change your batteries to Lithium you will save a ton of weight and space .

Great video and really informative. I already have the danglers and realy like hte idea of hte lightweight HT rod. Have you tried the sure strike tip down rod on a dangler? Same rod concepy only a small wood handle. I can run this same simulation since i cant get a 28 or 30 inch HT rod here at home. Just curious if you tried the S.S. rod yet on the dangler? Thanks!

How long of a HT ice blue rod are you using? Also the dangler is rather short so when a fish starts pulling won't the tip bottom out in the hole?

How do these compare to the innovative tip downs? With your combo it seems you're getting about the same sensitivity which is great. Mainly I'm curious about weight and pack out ease.

Love my Tracker :) It's not the biggest fishing boat in WY (Against that damn wind) . But, if you get in when the wind isn't crazy I out fish guys with WAY bigger boats. I love my 1996 Tracker Pro Team 17 :)

Nobody pays 19.99 for a plastic rod and reel made in China . Make a dangler yourself for 5 bucks with a nail for the pin and a paper clip bent to act as the fulcrum point attached with some Velcro to your rod. The reason it’s 5 bucks is for the wood base . Tip downs are a dime a dozen but this Chinese plastic isn’t worth half of what they want for it.

Great video! By far my favorite Trailers for all applications! Quick hot tip: On the Eclipse colors, shine a UV light on them to really see what makes it so magical, same goes for the Milky Way and the other colors as well! Also, don’t be afraid to cut the Nose/Tip off of the Winnows when using them as a trailer. It brings the presentation in a bit and gives it a great action! Keep up the great work!

Looking at one of these right now on FB marketplace. Would be my first bass boat so I'm excited, but also a little hesitant. It comes with a 50 HP 2-stroke Merc, 70lb thrust Minn Kota maxxum, 1 crank and 2 NEW deep cycle batteries (24V setup), on board charging hub, fish finder, boat cover, the trailer has new axle and tires, and it looks to be in good condition all around (carpet, hull, etc.) That being said, the guy wants $8,700 for it. We are setting up a sea test to be certain I'm happy with it and the motor/trolling works well. Being that you own the exact same boat, just a different color, how would you justify/not justify that price? I feel it's fair, not a great deal by any means, but I feel like I wouldn't be taking a huge wash on it, again assuming it all runs smoothly on the water. Edit: I have the money for a newer boat, but being my first bass boat I feel this would be a good entry point.

I moved my gas tank into the middle and I have two batteries on each side of the tank.

I have a 2006 Proteam 175 and had a 3 bank onboard charger installed in the back left storage compartment. Makes for one less compartment but its a plus to have a onboard charger!

Also, with my plastics I use plastic containers and label all of them. I bit easier to locate stuff especially when you’re not digging through bags and bags of stuff. Nice video by the way, thanks for sharing.

I’m glad you mentioned the battery issue, I’ve got a 2010 Tracker 175 and I’m not sure I can get three batteries in my boat. Was the original setup 2 batteries set up in a “T” formation?

Is speed really the need here..how about portable, lightweight and simple...I don't care about speed drags on augers here..though a great demonstration.

To bad the k drill with a drill is not very good for drilling a lot of holes through thick ice

for a guy that has rotator cuff issues that extra jarring with the milwaukee is a deal breaker
